So what exactly is MÚSECA anyway? ♪

MÚSECA is the latest game in the Bemani family. Let's take you through the information we are aware of:

The cabinet may look familiar if you have played Neon FM before, the primary difference being that these are called spinners and can be rotated as well as hit.

Another difference is the foot pedal, which can be used for activating "gifts" during a song.

Numbers indicated in parentheses below correspond to the matching item on the explanation sheet above.

Similarly to many Bemani games, notes flow from the top of the screen toward the bottom (1). Each lane corresponds to a spinner. There are three types of notes:

  • Objects (2) are standard notes where you must hit the corresponding spinner.
  • Long objects (3) are notes where the spinner must be held for an extended period of time.
  • Rotate objects (4) are similar to long notes, but instead of being held, the spinner must be rotated for the length of the note.

There is a lifebar (5), which will reduce as you get Error judgement on notes; reaching 0 will cause you to fail.

There's also the gift gauge (6), which, when full, will allow you to activate your Grafica's gift via the footpedal. Speaking of Grafica…

Grafica are character illustrations you can obtain in-game, which have special skills called gifts. Gifts include things such as "score up", "life restore", and "lane display changes".

Grafica can be obtained by entering the Gallery screen. They have various rarities, and the likeliness of pulling a high rarity Grafica can be increased by playing with PASELI or by purchasing multiple Grafica at a time. Each credit you play will grant you a free Grafica pull, and presumably you'll be able to buy more with PASELI but it's unclear what the pricing will be.

Only Grafica of rarity 5 obtained during the location test period will be transferrable to the final version.

It is also possible to get a form to enter a MÚSECA original character contest at the location test.
